From 30 June 2022, we’re stepping up the security of your Circles.Life account even further, by introducing multi-factor authentication.
What is multi-factor authentication?
We’re glad you asked! It’s where we use at least two ways to verify your identity to help confirm it’s you, and only you, that we’re supporting. For example, a date of birth is one kind of factor (it's a thing you know), but there are other factors. The three most common are:
- Something you know - Like a password, date of birth, or mobile number.
- Something you have - Like a smartphone.
- Something you are - Like a fingerprint, or facial recognition (or an AWESOME customer!)
By using two of these factors we can improve security so you can confidently make changes to your account and services. We will require this step for:
- SIM Replacements
- A Change of Ownership
- Change to personal information
- Suspending/terminating your account
So what’s new?
From 30 June 2022, before we can make any of the above changes:
- We’ll request for 3 types of personal information linked to your account:
- Full Name
- Date of birth
- Phone number
- After we confirm your personal details, we’ll send you a One-Time-Password (OTP) to your registered email address or mobile number.
- Once you provide and we validate your OTP, we’re good to go! We’ll make the changes you requested, now that we’re confident it’s really you.
If you detect suspicious activity linked to your Circles.Life account, contact us & your bank immediately for assistance.
