The Short Answer:
All Circles Life SIM cards will continue to work after the 3G network switch off. However, if your new device requires a different-sized SIM from your old one, you might need to make some adjustments yourself or request a new SIM.
Understanding Circles Life SIM Cards
Our standard SIM cards offer three different sizes on the same piece inside the SIM Pack:
-
Mini SIM (Standard SIM):
- Size: 25mm x 15mm
- Usage: Previously common in older mobile phones, the Mini SIM has mostly been phased out in favour of smaller formats.
-
Micro SIM:
- Size: 15mm x 12mm
- Usage: Became popular with the advent of smartphones due to its smaller size, allowing for a more compact device design.
-
Nano SIM:
- Size: 12.3mm x 8.8mm
- Usage: The Nano SIM is the standard for most modern smartphones because its compact size allows for more space for other components within the device.
Adjusting Your SIM Card
If your current SIM is larger than the one required for your new device, you can manually reduce its size by popping the chip section out from the frame. This makes the transition seamless and allows you to start using your new device immediately.
When to Consider a SIM Replacement
-
Size Compatibility:
- If your new device requires a larger SIM or if you are unable to manually resize your current SIM, you may need a new physical SIM.
-
SIM Damage:
- If your SIM card is damaged, you should replace it to ensure proper functionality.
-
Switching to eSIM:
- If your new device supports eSIM, you may want to switch to an eSIM for convenience. An eSIM eliminates the need for a physical SIM and allows your phone to connect through multiple SIMs. Find out more.
How to Request a New SIM
1. Go to our website and login with your date of birth and Order ID/Circles.Life phone number.
2. Enter the OTP code sent to your email address to completely login, please note that it's only valid for 2 minutes.
3. Select “Request SIM Replacement”.
4. Choose Your Replacement Option:
“I want to swap to an eSIM”: Select this if your phone supports eSIM and you prefer this option. An eSIM allows for immediate activation without waiting for delivery and enables multiple SIM connections.

5. Fill in the delivery details and click on “Schedule Delivery"
6. Sit back and relax - your new SIM card will be delivered to you shortly!
By following these steps, you can ensure that your new device is set up and ready to go without any interruption in service. If you have any questions or need assistance, our customer happiness team is always here to help.
