What is the IPND?
The Integrated Public Number Database, or IPND, is an industry-wide database of all Public Numbers serving as a repository of Public Number Customer Data (PNCD) which broadly includes every Phone number, Customer name, address and any Directory Related Services’ information connected to telco providers. It is compulsory for all telcos (like us!) to provide this information to the IPND.
What does the IPND do?
Access to the database is protected by strict regulations, so the IPND is primarily used by Triple Zero (000) to identify your name or address in an emergency where the operator may not be able to get information during the call.
Is my data safe?
Who can access the IPND and for what purpose is strictly controlled. You can find more information about this on the ACMA website, here https://www.acma.gov.au/accessing-ipnd
How can I update my details on the IPND?
Keeping your information accurate and up to date with Circles.Life is essential. To ensure your details in the IPND are current, you can quickly reach out to us via Live Chat to update us of any changes.
